Why Pledge
Membership in Triunnia requires making certain pledges. What are the pledges and why are they required? The pledges are:
"A nation or a state is... a body politic, or a society of men [and women] united together for the purpose of promoting their mutual safety and advantage by their combined strength."
The problem is that the societies you're coming from are very dis-united and have very little conception of combining their strength to promote mutual safety and advantage.
You will be familiar with the elite in your society engorging themselves on the public treasury at your expense and the general irresponsibility of that society.
This behaviour is inconsistent with the very purpose of a society as described above.
We would like to educate and encourage the necessity of united and mutually beneficial behaviour without resorting to enforcement and thereby placing people in perdition.
We therefore offer these pledges.
They are a solumn promise you make to other Triunnians, to yourself, and to Triunnia as a whole to encourage the necessary behaviour required to make this society work.
