Overview
We use our feeling part to interact with nature and that includes the senses (via our body's organs).
This system is not alive, however, and cannot do that. But it does represent the intellectual part of a being (of the entire nation) and it can still gather data.
The Office of Feeling, Sensing, Perception, and Data is a data gathering office that tries to do what the feeling part does for each of us.
It has the following duties:
- Gather as much data as possible related to the proposal.
- Perform rudimentary tests on the proposal to see how it performs.
- Pass all of this data to The Office of Priorities.
When gathering data, such data can include public sentiment, impacts on various people and places, whatever kinds of analyses are appropriate, focus groups, surveys, and scientific data observations, measurements, and calibrations.
The Office of Feeling, Sensing, Perception, and Data may also set up passive data collection sensors in various places for various purposes, such as weather stations, radars, and any other kinds as may be needed.
This office collects data so that other offices can perform their functions well.
All data collected by this office is public to people in the nation.
Because of the duty to work with massive quantities of data, this office will need a knowledge management system capable of supporting its mission.
You can think of it like a physical version of the Akashic Records, where such records are a noetic version of all data you can access mentally.
Along with sensory data, collecting data about law and "how things work" is also very beneficial.
"How does it work?" is a question that functions as a key to unlock knowledge about anything and everything.
The office should also attempt to acquire as much data for "how things work" as is possible so that such data can be used by the nation.
The Office of Feeling, Sensing, Perception, and Data answers and reports to the Council of Witness.
It receives proposals from the Office of Rightness (or Conscience), adds relevant data to it, and passes it along to the Office of Priorities.
Directive of Imaging
A Directive of Imaging is a message from the Council of Witness to the Office of Feeling, Sensing, Perception, and Data.
This is analagous to you using your imagination to work out a problem. In this case, the message is a query.
A query is a type of question that requests specific data.
It wants data in a specific format that is easy to understand, like a report with well done infographics.
The Office of Feeling, Sensing, Perception, and Data can surely create stock reports for common purposes.
The Directive of Imaging is intended for more hypothetical situations.
It is a "What would happen if...?" kind of query.
It is a fantasy question.
In this case, the Office must prepare an answer to the question as best as it can.
As the uncertainty is greater, their answer should include possibility analyses in their report so that the Council can lead by managing possibilities.
Responses to a Directive of Imaging should use the best presentation technology available.
Reports, infographics, dashboards, videos, and presentations are one thing, but if the Office can project its response on multiple large viewscreens, use holographic projections, even a holodeck or interactive
virtual reality itself, all of that would help communicate a response to a Directive of Imaging to the best degree possible.
Futhermore, responses have to consider follow-up questions and adapt immediately on-the-fly to those questions.
That way, the Council can work out a hypothetical situation to the best degree possible using the latest available data and possibility management techniques.
